Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive space for your mental wellness and personal growth. Please take a moment to read these terms carefully—they help us both understand how we work together.

By booking a session or using my services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Services Offered

Canadian Clients (Therapy Services)
I am a licensed psychotherapist in Canada, and my work with Canadian clients is regulated under Canadian law. Therapy sessions involve professional mental health support, assessment, and guidance tailored to your individual needs. Therapy is confidential, evidence-based, and delivered in a safe and ethical manner.

Non-Canadian/International Clients (Coaching Services)
For clients outside Canada, I provide mental health coaching, which is supportive guidance designed to help you reach your personal goals and improve well-being. Coaching is not regulated, nor a substitute for therapy or medical care, and outcomes may vary based on your personal engagement.

2. Client Responsibilities
  • Be honest and open during sessions to make the most of our time together.

  • Arrive on time or give at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Understand that progress takes time and that therapy or coaching outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

3. Payment and Scheduling
  • Session fees, packages, and payment methods are clearly listed on my website.

  • Payments are required before or at the time of your session.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee.

  • Refunds are at my discretion and will be handled fairly and compassionately.

4. Confidentiality

Canadian Therapy Clients
All information shared in therapy sessions is confidential, except in the following circumstances where I am legally required to act:

  • Risk of harm to yourself or others

  • Suspected child abuse or neglect

  • Court orders or other legal obligations

International Coaching Clients
All coaching session information is kept private. However, coaching is not regulated, so confidentiality is maintained as a professional courtesy rather than a legal obligation.

In all cases, your personal information—including contact details—is never sold or shared with external parties.

5. Online / Telehealth Sessions
  • Virtual sessions are conducted via secure platforms.

  • I take precautions to protect your privacy, but I cannot guarantee the confidentiality of third-party platforms.

  • Ensure you are in a private space for your session.

6. Risks and Limitations
  • Emotional work in therapy or coaching can sometimes feel challenging.

  • It’s normal to experience discomfort, reflection, or emotional reactions.

  • In case of crisis or urgent mental health concerns, contact local emergency services immediately (e.g., 911 in Canada, or local crisis lines abroad).

7. Intellectual Property
  • All resources, worksheets, or content provided by me are for your personal use only.

  • Sharing or redistributing materials without permission is not allowed.

8. Termination of Services
  • I may discontinue services if payment is not received, if there is unsafe or inappropriate behaviour, or if professional boundaries are compromised.

  • Clients may also end services at any time.

9. Legal Disclaimer
  • Therapy advice for Canadian clients is tailored and regulated.

  • Coaching advice for international clients is general guidance and not a replacement for professional medical or mental health care.

  • I am not responsible for decisions or actions taken outside our sessions.

10. Governing Law
  • Therapy services for Canadian clients are governed by Canadian law and relevant provincial regulations.

  • Coaching services for international clients are provided under the applicable laws of your location, though Canadian law informs my professional standards.

11. Updates to Terms
  • These terms may be updated occasionally. Clients will be notified via email or website update. Continued use of services indicates acceptance of updated terms.

Thank you for trusting me with your journey. My priority is your safety, growth, and well-being, and I’m committed to making our work together clear, supportive, and respectful.

Cancellation Policy

Your time and well-being are important, and I strive to provide a supportive and reliable service. To ensure fairness and clarity, please take note of the following policy for online sessions:

  • Cancellations & Rescheduling: Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance without charge.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at 50% of the session fee.

  • Missed Appointments / No-Shows: If you do not attend your scheduled session without prior notice, the full session fee will apply.

  • Technical Issues: If technical problems occur on my side that prevent the session from taking place, you will not be charged and we will reschedule. If issues occur on your side, the cancellation and no-show policy still applies.

  • Emergencies: I understand that unexpected situations may arise. In the event of a genuine emergency, exceptions can be made at my discretion. Do reach out as I know life can sometimes be unexpected. I am here to support you through it.
